Jul. 20th, 2017 08:56 pmYesterday after work I got off the bus and went grocery shopping. I bought zucchini, spinach, tofu, milk, and a big jar of garlic. As I was checking out, the man asked me if I was going to blend it. What? No? Of course not? That would be gross? I'm going to make kimchi and mapo tofu and the milk is for tea? I must look like the kind of person who would blend all those things (I do).
My manager at work was telling me yesterday about how his partner's mum was driving while her husband was changing their three-month-old baby's nappy when the tyre blew. The baby died. It made me think very hard, why is fate like this? Coincidences like that are too harsh. What was the point?
I have not slept well the whole week. I was desperate so I drank a glass of champagne-moscato mix last night to calm me down after picking up my flatmate from the airport (I don't like city driving). I got off to sleep alright but I woke up at some dumb hour and tossed for ages. It made me think, though: a bird's eyes must be much more sensitive than a person's. They wake up and start cawing before I can even see the light.
