The magpies in Victoria look different from the magpies in Queensland, I am sure of it.

Today I saw a gum tree that had no bark, making it somewhat striking and uncomfortable to look at. It was the cool cream of caucasian or east asian flesh. Where the branches curved out there were wrinkles like you would see on bunched or sagging skin. This combined with the colour reminded me of the genitalia most commonly associated with the male sex. I have never seen a tree quite like it before.

I found out that the birdcall I couldn't recognise and the bird I couldn't tell were both the Common Myna.

I keep reading Pigdon street as Pigeon street and Lt Bourke St as Lite Bourke street.

The things that people in Melbourne shout at strangers on the street are different from the things that people in Brisbane shout. In Melbourne, people shout nice things. Tonight while I was taking a walking tour, some people shouted from their car, "I love Jesus," and later some people passing by on the footpath shouted, "Welcome to Australia. Welcome to Melbourne." Yesterday a person on a bicycle shouted at me, "I'm digging the hair." Last night a girl told me she had been riding past a construction site one day and one of the men there shouted at her, "I hope you're wearing sunscreen."

The taste of my 콩나물 무침 improved (more sesame oil, more salt) but my 오이김치 was too salty. Less 새우젓 next time, I think.
