It comes as no surprise to me that I admire people who excel at their tertiary studies, especially those who don't have the support of family or the government. Early mornings, late nights, part time work. This time around I decided that I did not want to destroy my health by working thirty-five hours a week while taking four courses; this time around I worked about twenty hours a week while taking three courses. My grades improved from a 6.5 to a 7 out of 7 and I got enough sleep. And since I did it, whenever I meet someone who didn't get a perfect GPA, I want to know why. Did you skip class, or did you sit on facebook during the lectures, or were you watching netflix while mum was cooking tea? Then I discovered that 선배님 used to write Captive Prince during class, and I have not been able to reconcile that fact.
