I went to the Ekka yesterday. I ate, in order, a frankfurt, a chocolate-dipped banana rolled in desiccated coconut, a jam and cream scone, a marinated and slow cooked lamb and salad cone, half a beef hamburger, a third a plate of steak and chips, and most of a strawberry ice cream cone (can’t go to the Ekka and not have a strawberry ice cream cone). I drank, in order, a sip of port, a sip of pear smoothie, half a glass of craft beer, and another half a glass of regular beer.
I watched both fireworks shows. The second was probably one of the best fireworks shows I’ve ever seen. They had fire blazers and fireworks coming out of multiple sources, fire dancers, people on stilts, and huge, lit-up jellyfish kites.
I braided a horse's fringe. Since the hair was so rough, the braid kept its shape.
